What is MyoSure?

MyoSure is a minimally invasive surgical procedure in which your doctor inserts a miniature camera and a slender wand with a blade and a suction window into your vagina and cervix. With MyoSure, your OB/GYN surgeon can remove:

• Uterine fibroids
• Polyps
• Adhesions
• Uterine septum
• Retained products of conception (RPOC)

A MyoSure procedure only takes about 15-30 minutes.

What is colposcopy?

Colposcopy can be performed for diagnosis or treatment of abnormal tissue in your vagina or cervix. The colposcope looks like a pair of binoculars and a light on a crane. 

Your doctor uses the colposcope to look closely for abnormal tissue and can perform a biopsy at the same time in just a few minutes.  

What is NovaSure?

NovaSure is a minimally invasive procedure that uses radiofrequency energy to ablate (destroy) the lining of your uterus to alleviate prolonged or heavy menstruation. 

Your doctor inserts a slender wand that’s outfitted with a treatment net through your vagina and cervix and into your uterus.  After expanding the net in place, the RF energy ablates your endometrium in just five minutes. 

What is hysteroscopy?

Your doctor inserts a hysteroscope  — a slender, lighted tube— through your vagina and cervix for diagnosis or treatment. If your doctor sees abnormalities through the hysteroscope, they can insert small tools through the tube to perform:

• Endometrial ablation
• Myomectomy
• Polypectomy
• Adhesion removal
• Uterine septum removal

You can return home shortly after hysteroscopy.

What is minimally invasive surgery?

Minimally invasive surgery only requires a few small incisions through which your doctor inserts a miniature camera and miniature surgical tools. Minimally invasive surgery can be used to perform:

• Hysterectomy
• Polypectomy
• Myomectomy
• Endometrial ablation
• Pelvic prolapse correction
• Endometrial resection
